Recommendations
Individuals: The only time I recommend getting insurance is if your employer pays for at least half of the monthly premium.
Entrepreneurs: Self-employed individuals and business owners, it does not make sense for you to get dental insurance. You are better off finding a good dentist, perhaps negotiating a discount or trading services, and writing off your dental expenses. Please consult with your tax professional about the deductibility of dental expenses. As for providing employees with dental insurance, provide dental insurance as a benefit only if morale or retention requires it. Direct reimbursement is a great model if you have a good accounting department
Discount Plans: We do not participate in discount plans, but many people are able to find "adequate" care under these plans. As with all services, you get what you pay for.
