This is a loaded question that makes some large assumptions:
- you need a crown - we've had a lot of "crown" patients end up needing no treatment at all, or just fillings. A diagnosis for a crown should be supported by clinical findings or symptoms.
- crowns are commodities, which means a crown is basically the same no matter where you get it from.
Not all crowns are created equal
. There are 18 recognized crown codes in the 2005 ADA service code
list, and each of those codes of crowns has many different varieties.
You can't compare Fuji apples to Granny Smith apples or Washington
Delicious. Because of this, we don't give crown (or any other) fees
over the phone, or online for that matter. We do offer free
consultations so that we can make an honest and fair assessment for
you, with no high pressure sales tactics or upgrade bait and switch,
either. We involve our patients in the diagnostic process by showing
them xrays, pictures and models so that they know exactly why they do
or don't need any given dental service.
